This is a great stencil for using with paint, or outlining with pencils or markers, for scrap booking, card making or other crafts, but I mainly use them for raised stencilling using plaster putty.  They are nice and flexible.  An example of raised stencilling is in the attached photos.
 
The stencil can be used many times, just wash after use with soapy water and dry completely before storage.  It is best to store it in a flat position to avoid creases.
